Mike has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry, almost equally split between years doing technical and business roles in leading IT product companies and years in the IT technical education field. He brings experience in sales, business development, marketing, training, product management, research and development, and manufacturing operations.

Frequently consulted as an industry expert, Mike has been interviewed by such leading magazines as Network World, Communications Week International, Business Communications Review, and Telecommunications International.  He has also spoken at numerous major domestic and international trade shows.

Mike earned advanced Master degrees in business administration and technical disciplines from North Carolina State University, and a Bachelors degree from Clarkson University.  He has served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations, and has contributed his skills to a large number of volunteer organizations.

My Technology Perspective:

As a product strategy and marketing expert, Mike has launched industry leading training products and services addressing best practices in technical areas including virtualization, information security, networking, storage and other technologies.

Mike’s guiding principle is that technology exists not for its own sake, but to transform lives.  Through consistently focusing on the needs of the end users of a technology or service, Mike has guided companies through the strategic and tactical planning necessary to get high performance, transformative results.

During his technical IT product career Mike worked with a number of industry forums and standards bodies including the Frame Relay Forum, ATM Forum, MPLS Forum, ITU and the IETF.  He served the Frame Relay Forum for several years in roles as President Emeritus, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Chair of Market Development and Education.
